A European orchid, with a wide range from Asia up to Sweden. As far as the United Kingdom is concerned it does not reach the mainland but it is in the Channel Islands and refered to as the Jersey Orchid. It's habitat is wet alkaline meadow. Height up to 60cm ( 2ft) Anacamptis laxifloraPlease ignore the gossamer, it gets everywhere.
