I'm guessing that this is a general enough question to go here. I am still attempting to rebuild more of a collection since the Florida hurricanes of 2004 seemed to have all gone through my backyard and removed the greenhouse and the plants (well, essentially the house and backyard also). My question is: can anyone recommend a seed source? Preferably one that does not require me to jump through thousands of hoops and basically give a DNA sample to import into the United States. Yes, I know the ICPS has a seedbank - but I do not think the inventory ever changes very much. Any help along these lines would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any information - Stan

Right now the ICPS seedbank has some new species, like two tuberous sundewspecies, Pinguicula lusitanica, etc.

I'm the seed bank organiser of the CPS society in the UK and it really is easy to import seed with the small lots of seed permit. It might seem a lot of trouble to go to, but as well as being free, the permits last for about three years before needing renewing and once you have it you can import from anywhere in the world. That gives you a much bigger range of seed available to you and some of it very cheap indeed. If you join the CPS in the UK we now have a large range of seed and a very good variety from easy growing to difficult. Take a look at the list we have now and all of it is fresh. www.thecps.org.uk

Another source is Brooks Garcia.
His site is sarraceniaobsessed.com but if you are interested you should write him because he has a new list (the one on-line he said is from last year.)
I recently ordered:

Buck, Thank you for that information. May I however point out to you that the original topic/ the last posting before you is well over a year old? We really prefer that if a subject is that old it is only restarted for a good reason, otherwise it is often better to start a new topic. It is easier that way. Hope your buys from Brook will grow well for you ;D
