I'm new to FCPS but not new to growing CP's or orchids. My passion is Florida native species and have acquired (legally) a nice collection over the years. I am going to the Fakahatchee Strand this month to do a swamp walk with Mike Owens (Strand Park Ranger/ Orchid Specialist). I look forward to seeing many species of our state's wonderful natural jewels. I joined FCPS to learn more about my latest addiction of another native variety...Florida CPs. I hope to see these savage beauties in there natural habitats as well. I look forward to hearing from fellow lovers of Florida's unique flora.

Hi Darin! Welcome to the FCPS Forum. Excellent! I'm into native Florida orchids as well. I think I remember you from somewhere...do you know Steve Stewart? Anyways, it's great to have you with us! Here's a video I shot on the Fakahatchee strand that you may enjoy, to give you a taste of what you may see... bbproductions.smugmug.com/Carnivorous-Plants/New-Video-The-Orchid/10285253_b9Yzg#710418505_yGujnWe'll have to hook up sometime and talk/trade plants. What area are you in? Happy Growing, Brian
