Justin, Your plant doesn't look to bad actually. It may have gotten too cold once or twice but looks pretty good. I never leave my Nepenthes in standing water. I only water from above and only use living sphagnum moss as substrate. The latter is just my personal choice as growing media. You are correct in leaving it just damp during cooler periods as a precautionary measure. Neps in standing water for too long is a no-no.... Brian.

Your plant might be starting with the dreaded root rot . I would recommend you use a more airy soil such as a ratio of 1:2:1:1 peat , Perlite , Chopped long fiber sphagnum moss (dry) ,an western cedar mulch (untreated) this is what i use with great success. an while you changing look at the roots if they are there your in luck if not you have root rot .

Ok thanks both of you I order Nep. soil from Cobraplants.com yesterday it will be here Tuesday so I hope they will be ok til then ^_^
