Maybe someone here can clarify this for me. I have both cp and non cp seeds from south Africa. Some are labeled sp for spring planting and some are au for autum planting. Since I am in the northern hemisphere do I need to reverse the planting times? Will it make a difference that my rainy season is in summer, and I believe it is mostly winter rains there? I have always been confused about this, so I figured that I'd ask the bright folks here. Thanks in advance.

It does make some difference which part of South Africa they are coming, but in general the plants in the Cape area get a relative cold (but mostly above freezing, say 8 degrees C) and wet Autumn/winter starting roughly in May over there. From September/October they have a hotter (20 tot 30 C) and relative dry spring/summer. The real trick is to match both temperature and water levels.
