Yes, the soil is highly calcified. Do you grow them this way in cultivation? If so, do you believe it may enhance more prolific flowering?

I cultivate all my mexican species in this calcareous mineral substrat except the gypsum species .
for the temperate , 'in situ' we have 2 substrat type ,according to the species : calcareous and acid
for the calcareous species I use the same substrat than the mexican , I think it is not only a flowering question but especially a plant bearing , and a root question , ' in situ' you find not the same plant in a calcareous soil and a acid soil ( except particular case) , a calcareous plant in a acid soil have a tendency to wilt and vice versa .
