Hello All, Being cursed as an "early bird" and usually up with coffee in hand before sunrise, I couldn't resist snapping a few photos of one of my Drosophyllum right before sunrise... The greenhouse was steamy and humid with the occasional dripping sound from condensation to break the silence and the strong smell of "Droso honey" filled the air quite thickly. My steamy cup of Kenya coffee was the perfect accompaniment. Truly one of those magic CP moments in which I fully realize my lifelong obsession with these fantastic plants! Please enjoy. Happy Growing, Brian. Here's Drosophyllum by night; And...Drosophyllum at sunrise;

Being cursed as an "early bird" and usually up with coffee in hand before sunrise, Brrrriiiannn, well, I am known for going to bed very early...early in the morning!!! ;D So, the time you use to get up and enjoy your first cup o´coffee I use to go to sleep. Like Aidan I can be called a "mushroom" or a night owl! Anyway, Drosophyllum is a gorgeous plant! My first attempt on growing them from seed failed and I´ll look for a plant - maybe on the EEE in Ghent. After I´ve moved to my new home there may be a suitable place to try Drosophyllum again. Brian, still no sign of germination on the P. planifolia seeds. I only hope they´ll change their mind when moved to natural sunlight in my new home which I´ll be moving to in the middle of July! A broken sigh, Andreas

Hello Andreas and Max, Thanks for the compliments, Max! Andreas, Let some natural sun/heat hit those babies after you move. And then if nothing happens, you know I've got you covered. We'll get you a pot full of those babies going yet! Happy Growing, Brrrrian.
