aceras anthropophorum ( hanging man orchis) a nice station here in sarthe ( france) himantoglossum hircinum ( billy goat orchis ) common enought here jeff

Great to see these in the field Jeff.
Himantoglossum hircinum is known as the lizard orchid in the UK, so far I haven't been able to source one at a nursery.
Aceras anthropophorum is the man orchid.

in FRANCE for aceras hanging man orchis (orchis homme pendu) et himantoglossum billy goat orchis ( orchis bouc) for the fragance ;D

Does the hanging man orchid smell that rotten? If it grew in australia it would called the dead cow orchid.

KHOAS no fragrance for the hanging man orchis
BRIAN for the billy goat orchis the fragrance is light he smelt just if you put your nose on it , but nevertheless it is a very nice calcareous orchid usually 80-90 cm ;D
