Hello Friends, Here's a photo of a purple flowered Pinguicula ionantha which is quite rare. The plant is growing around a colony of pure, white-flowered P. ionantha..with no P. planifolia anywhere near it at all. Note the petal formation is different than P. planifolia and has the typical exuded beard (corolla) trait of P. ionantha. Also, note the bright pale yellowish-green rosette, typical of the species. Happy Growing, Brian.

So, if that´s the ONLY plant, Brian, there´s no other way but to propagate it through TISSUE CULTURE!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Hello again, what a beauty. What a pity that´s only one plant. No seedlings arround? On BCP Kamil offered a few years ago purple flowering P. ionantha and i also received a plant from him, but before it flowered i´ve lost it. Thanks for sharing. Best regards, Dani
