Hey Eveyone, A little while ago one of my larger cephs died back for an unknown reason, yesterday, several months later I peeled back the Live Sphagnum moss surrounding the rhizome and found this... They are indeed very hardy plants! Good Growing, Max

Hi Max, I experienced the same thing with my C. 'Hummer's giant"... Funny thing is, I gave up on the plant and angrily set it outside in full sun, stopped watering and neglected it...It quickly came back to life again! I think it was CDS that consumed it... Was your clone a 'Hummer's giant" too? Happy Growing, Brian.

Hi,
CDS = Cephalotus Death Syndrome. Actually, I think it's SCDS, Sudden Cephalotus Death Syndrome...
Brian.

Hey Brian,
Mine is just a typical Cephalotus, funny how neglect can revive a Ceph!
Good Growing, Max

G'day Brian Ah, I understand. I know one cause is that the roots can overheat rather easy, like Darlingtonia. They like it cool and bright.
