Hi Agoo, Usually, When Drosophyllum grow with a long central stem (like yours), soon you'll see small, round flower buds coming out through the center of the plant. Then you will have seed! If you are careful with watering (not too much) after it flowers, the plant will branch into two growth points... The flowers are self fertile. Happy Growing, Brian.

You put the nervousness into me...What there is if I am not his good host?...I heard something about the root system...True how does not like it if it is disturbed?

You are correct, Agoo. Drosophyllum does not like root disturbance....It's best to always plant into it's permanent home immediately following germination or to plant it's seed in a pot that will be permanent. Drosophyllum sends out a long tap root immediately following germination. Happy Growing, Brian.

Hi Agoo, I think those are young leaves, no flowers yet. You'll know when it does...The flower buds are very glandular and hard to miss! Happy Growing, Brian.
