This I find a very easy terrestrial. The flowers are vanilla scented and flowering occurs late summer - autumn / fall. The orchid definitely does not object to having wet feet. Spiranthes cernua var. odorata 'Chadd's Ford'

Nice orchid, Fred! Indeed, a definite water-lover and nicely scented as well... Brian.

Excellent! Looks like it's going "full-steam ahead" and has fully opened... Are you craving vanilla pudding yet? ;D Happy Growing, Brian.

The scent is good Brian, although from the 4 adults I've asked I've received 4 different identifications. I still think vanilla ;D The close up view is exceptional. It's a toughie but looks so delicate.

Hi Fred, I agree....the petals of most Spiranthes have such a "lacey" delicate look to them (especially the white flowered forms), but pretty much are tough as nails. I'll stick with vanilla and a touch of honey! ;D The white color and sweet scent makes me want some sweet pudding. Snacky time yet? ;D
Happy Growing, Brian.
