I grow all my heli's only in sphagnum. I have an old Frog terrarium and use a dripping wall to give water. The plants are in the baskets you use to sink aquatic plants into a pond. They are filled with sphagnum and placed on Plexiglas with some drainage holes above a water reservoir. I pump up water and it flows along the wall trough the sphagnum and the drainage holes back to the reservoir.
Biggest tricks to healthy heli's: keep the humidity high but don't allow water to remain at the roots Use a blow and suction fan (set of two like the set of lucky reptile is something like 20 euro) to prevent the temperature from getting to hot give the lots of light, I use 2 x 54 watt T5

Jeff.. I can make only so much unfortunately that I let the door opened on a night and I switch it on for them the fogger. Since I do it in this manner visibly divinely feels himself. I say thank you for the council very nicely otherwise
