Hello , Thanks for the welcome everyone. There's sometimes no better introduction than to post some pictures. Heliamphora are one of my very favourite genus. I grow them in my garage under tubes. So there is always a good drop of temperatures at night. This is wintertime here in old Europe and the sunpitchers thrives! General views from my two terrariums: Heliamphora heterodoxa from Ptari tepui: Heliamphora sarracenioides: Heliamphora exappendiculata from Amuri tepui. This is an easy grower for me. I have successfully cross pollinated my Heliamphora folliculata last year and I got 3 seeds. One germinated and I am now the proud father of a lovely tiny Heliamphora. I have some more flowers coming soon this year. Be sure, I will to get some more seeds again, species and hybrids. Cheers, François.

Hi François, you are right, the best start is a new topic. Really nice plants, they seem to like your garage. Wow, what a big H. exappendiculata , very beautiful plant. Mine is much smaller. Best regards, Dani

Wow, Your Heliamphora always look impressive, Francois! I can remember back when your H. sarraceniodes was just a tiny little guy... ;D Good job, very happy and healthy plants. Any idea on your humidity levels? Some pitchers look spotted, like humidity may be a little too high or not enough air movement... Anyways, they look fantastic as usual! Happy Growing, Brian.

This is the flaw of my setup. In summer, I use to spray the plants from time to time but I have to stop spraying when the temperatures are colder. Sometimes, the terrariums seem to be too humid and some pitchers get some spots. I'm considering to set a bigger terrarium with some ventilation but so far, when I stop spraying too much, the pitchers are really fine. Thanks for the kind words everyone ;D. François.

Beautiful specimens François! Heliamphora is BY FAR one of my favorite genus!! Sadly there aren't as many Heli growers in Florida, especially South Florida. Your obviously providing great conditions for them to grow, a great collection indeed!!
Warmest Regards and Happy Growing, -Jc Miami, Fl
